I commute 2 hours a day on the train and the option of music, games or movies always gives me something to do. I haven’t really played ATV or even watched Lords of Dogtown, but this value-pack was worth it for the 2GB memory card. In fact, I’m finding new ways to enjoy it all the time. One year later and I still play my PSP as much as ever.

I can’t remember what the bundle was called, but it came with a 2GB Memory Stick, ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin’ Trails, and the UMD movie Lords of Dogtown. When last years price-cut was announced just before Christmas, I took the plunge and picked up my very own PSP.

It had been out for some time and had a great selection of games already on the market. That said, I still had a real interest in gaming – I still read video game magazines, and my trips to Wal-Mart always started in the video game isle. Last year, with the arrival of the all the next generation systems, the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii, I came to the conclusion that I didn’t have time in my busy life to make the purchase of one of these consoles worthwhile. I’m a 34 year old professional who has played all the systems: from Atari and Intellivision as a kid, right up to the PS2. I paid $60 for the recorder on eBay, and I believe it was worth every penny.Īs this is my first post, I thought I’d introduce myself. FYI, it’s also great if you have an iPod Video or the new Nano.Ĭheck out the cnet review, where they gave it 7/10, but I think it's even better. The Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder 2 does just that and it also easier to use for converting DVDs too. While it’s great for DVDs, it can’t record TV or convert my old VHS tapes to MPEG-4.

I already had PSP Movie Creator by PQ DVD installed in my on my PC for converting DVD’s to MPEG-4 for my PSP. When you take the Memory Stick out of the Neuros MPEG4 Recorder 2, it is ready to go right into your PSP for watching. The device connects to a video source like a cable box, satellite box, DVD player, or VCR, and you either set a timer simply press record. The best part is that you don’t need a computer at all.

The Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder 2 works like a VCR, but instead of video tape it records onto a Memory Stick and automatically converts the video into MPEG-4 format. I just bought a really cool device for my PSP.
